invisible line of text Rodney started learning sound at American River College in Sacramento in the mid-1980s. He began working with his friend Pat at Pat’s rocording studio, Selective Frequencies. While working at a local music instrument store, Skip’s Music, he started running sound for bands that would rent equipment from the store. Rodney began doing sound exclusively in the mid-1990s for a Sacramento promotions company, Abstract Entertainment. |
| After running sound for several years for Abstract, Rodney began touring with local Sacramento bands. While on the road he met Dredg, the first major lable band he toured with. In late 2000 he went on the road with Dredg when they were opening for Alien Ant Farm. He was on the road with various bands from 2000 until late 2006, when Rodney and Melissa got married. invisible line of text |

| A Little About Rod And Melissa Rod and Melissa met in 1999 and started dating in 2000. Melissa was working at KRXQ-98 Rock in Sacramento, and Rod ran sound at many of the shows that the radio station promoted. The Boons dated for several years while Melissa finished school and Rod toured the U.S. and Europe with different bands. They married on December 30, 2006 in Sacramento, California. In July of 2007, they moved to San Diego so Melissa could begin graduate studies at SDSU. |
